Felting

I have been painting and drawing since I was old enough to hold a crayon.
My formal art education includes the University of Oregon, The Portland Art Museum (now PNCA), Oregon College of Arts and Crafts, among others. Thirty years ago I took a felting class from renowned felter, Pat Sparks, starting my journey into wool. I make felt sculptures and tapestries. The sculptures double as hats, the tapestries can be used as rugs. Whimsical or classical, the work is based upon the traditions of Scandinavia, central Europe and Asia.
